Preclinical pharmacology and pharmacokinetics

Members of the ODG have conducted and published key pharmacology studies in animals, especially pigs. These studies include determination of effective oxfendazole antiparasitic doses and dosing regimens, evaluation of oxfendazole effectiveness compared to the effectiveness of other antiparasitic drugs, and determination of oxfendazole pharmacokinetics (how much oxfendazole is absorbed by the body following its oral administration and how long oxfendazole remains present in the pig’s body).
